My name is Michele. I am married and have 3 children who are of adult age. I also have 4 step sons and a beautiful granddaughter. We have one dog named Lady and a cat named Tink. I come from a very caring family and enjoy finding new and exciting things to work on with kids.
I am a graduate of Des Moines Lincoln in 1980 and I attended Iowa State University with emphasis in business. Upon the birth of my son in June of 1989 through July of 2000, I provided in-home daycare and preschool program in Coralville, Iowa. In July 2000, I relocated to Des Moines and entered into the corporate world. For the past 10 years I have been employed as a licensed insurance agent.
Due to a medical condition with a child and the Waukee School District's inability to work with us, for 3 years I commuted and worked in Marion/Cedar Rapids. My daughters' graduated in May and I am looking to relocate back home. I have always loved having children and enjoy watching them learn and grow so I decided to return to childcare.
I have 15 yrs of previous experience. At this time I am not registered/licensed with the State of Iowa. I have a newer home in the Waukee area a few blocks off Hickman in Waukee. I will be using a 36 month rotating preschool program for children starting at age 2 to 2 1/2 depending on their attention span. But all children will participate in story time, abcs, number, and group activites, as well as, individual attention.
